In Gratitude for My Life
As a Moslem, I always believe that the blessings flowing from God to my life are countless. God says in Al’Quran (my holy book) that we’ll never be able to count the blessings that God has given to us. It’s so many that we can’t count it. However, in celebration of my birthday, I would like to express my gratitude to God for the beautiful life that God has given to me. In this gratitude, I will mention some blessings that I can feel. Still, there are many other blessings that go beyond my knowledge, whose number extends much more than what I mention. This blessings mentioning should be considered an attempt to be grateful for God’s blessings, not a statistical list of the blessings. I am grateful for every breath I take. Yes, with every breath I take, I still have the chance to carry out whatever God has meant me to accomplish in this world. Thank You, God, thank You. You still have faith in me that I can carry it out. It would be a shame on me if, with the faith You still have in me, I no longer have faith in You. Sometimes I feel like my faith is shaken to the point I despair, and even when I am on that point, You always restore my faith. Bad things happen and my faith is shaken again and again, and You indefatigably restore it. When no one can stage a recovery for my faith, You’re always there to help me keep the faith. |
